The trip was be self reliant, attempting to summit previously unclimbed peaks in a pure alpine style; leaving no trace.



The trip was exploratory in nature, and aimed to open up new climbing areas, summit virgin peaks, and increase the awareness for british exploration, and help to bring tourism to a struggling area of the world.

First peak!

News via a rather poor phone connection was received last week (26/8) to say that the expedition team had successfully bagged their first peak. It was difficult to hear from the line which peak they climbed but we know it was 4,700m and can therefore be Rour Tond, Helen's Hat, Kymay's neighbour or Zeus's brother.
We also discovered from Monypenny that their 'driver is crazy', but I dare say that is a pre-requisite and it takes one to know one :-)
More news when we get it....

    AWESOME! So pleased for you. 4700m seems a bit low for the Tour Ronde or Helen's Hat though. On our GPS the subsiduary summit of Helen's Hat was higher than that if I remember rightly, and the Tour Ronde looked only marginally lower than Pt. 5008, so I think it probably isn't one of those. I really hope it's Kumay's neighbour!
